Rusidah binti Badawi is a photographer in Purworejo, Central Java. When she was 12, she was in an accident that led to her arms being amputated below the elbow. Thanks to training from her local goverment, Rusidah, now 42, was able to pursue her dream of becoming a photographer.
She adapted the shutter release button on her camera with a screw so he can take photos despite her disability.
At first, Rusidah did not want to be profiled. she is used to beingĀ behind the lens not front of it. And she doesn’t see anything special about what she does - she says she is merely doing her job.
